This is one of my favourite recipes that I love making after we have been apple picking at one of our local orchards! Nothing tastes better than freshly picked apples, and this loaf is such a great way to enjoy them!
Ingredients:
½ cup packed brown sugar
1½ tsp ground cinnamon
Mix together, set aside
2/3 cup white sugar
½ cup butter, softened
Combine in mixer until smooth
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
Add to mixer and beat until combined
1½ cups all-purpose flour
1 ½ tsp baking powder
½ cup milk
1 large apple, peeled, and finely chopped
Add to mixer and mix until combined
Directions:
-
Pour half the batter into prepared 9” x 5” loaf pan (greased and floured)
-
Cover with half of the apples (pat gently into the batter)
-
Sprinkle with half the sugar and cinnamon mixture.
-
Repeat with the remaining batter, sugar, and apples
-
Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes
-
Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes and enjoy!
