Apple Loaf

This is one of my favourite recipes that I love making after we have been apple picking at one of our local orchards! Nothing tastes better than freshly picked apples, and this loaf is such a great way to enjoy them!

Ingredients:

½ cup packed brown sugar

1½ tsp ground cinnamon

Mix together, set aside

2/3 cup white sugar

½ cup butter, softened

Combine in mixer until smooth

2 eggs

2 tsp vanilla

Add to mixer and beat until combined

1½ cups all-purpose flour

1 ½ tsp baking powder

½ cup milk

1 large apple, peeled, and finely chopped

Add to mixer and mix until combined

Directions:

    1. Pour half the batter into prepared 9” x 5” loaf pan (greased and floured)

    2. Cover with half of the apples (pat gently into the batter)

    3. Sprinkle with half the sugar and cinnamon mixture.

    4. Repeat with the remaining batter, sugar, and apples

    5. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes

    6. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes and enjoy!
