Hi! I’m Rudie, the owner of RJ Mercantile, mom of two, and wife of my hard working dairy farmer. I started this business in 2018 during my maternity leave while I struggled with postpartum depression and the need for “something else” to give me purpose. At first, I was just selling custom drinkware and shirts that I made with my Cricut (haha!), but since then, the business has grown and evolved into more than I could have dreamed of, with some of the best customers ever!

Rudie Jo Mercantile is an online shop located in Spencerville, Ontario. We offer a curated variety of wholesome and nostalgic products that bring joy to your home and heart. Our products include home decor, apparel for women + children, drinkware, and stationery. Some items are designed by myself, and I try to include as many products from other small businesses in North America as I can. I also have a Recipe Box where I share favourite recipes from my own kitchen, as well as ones shared by my close friends and family!  

My vision for this space is for it to be a positive, kind, and encouraging nook that you like to visit often. My hope is that when you need a gift for a friend, a new sweater, or a meal idea for dinner tonight, rudiejo.com is one of your go-to places to look.
