Pancakes are a weekend tradition in our home! This recipe is easy to make, and I love that you can switch them up by adding seasonal fruit or chocolate chips to them.
The most important step to remember when you make these is to ensure you mix the wet and the dry ingredients separately, and then combine until when you are ready to cook.
The Wet Ingredients:
2 eggs
3 cups milk
3 tbsp vegetable oil
1 ½ tsp vanilla
Whisk together and set aside
The Dry Ingredients:
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 ½ cups whole wheat flour
3 tbsp white sugar
2 tbsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
Mix together until combined
Directions:
- Mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients.
- Heat a large skillet or pan and lightly grease with butter or oil.
- Using a ¼ cup, pour the batter into the pan to your desired pancake size.
- When the edges look dry and the center begins to bubble, it’s time to flip your pancakes.
- Let the pancakes cook until golden brown.
- Serve with your favourite toppings – maple syrup, whip cream, berries, or butter – and enjoy!
I’d love for you to try this recipe this weekend and come back to tell me what you think in the comments!
